Abstract Submission

The Scientific Committee is delighted to invite abstracts for Podium presentation and e-Poster presentation during KARPEDICON23. This provides an excellent opportunity for quality scientific material to be presented on a Prestigious stage.

Last date for abstract submission is 31st August 2023. No further submissions will be entertained beyond this date. Candidates whose abstract have been accepted will be intimated via e-mail.
Registration to Conference is mandatory for the presenting Author.

      • Dr. Ankegowda Award for free paper for General Paediatrics.
      • Dr. P.C. Bopaih Award for Social Paediatrics.
      • Dr. P.N. Krishnamurthy award for Haemato oncology.
      • Dr. Paramesh award for Practicing Paediatrician. presentation.

Last date for abstract submission is 20th July 2023. No further submissions will be entertained beyond this date. Candidates whose abstract have been accepted will be intimated via e-mail.
Registration to Conference is mandatory for the presenting Author.

Important note: Ethics committee approval

Only work that has received local animal or human ethics committee approval as appropriate will be considered for presentation.

Abstracts which have not received approval, will not be accepted unless they fit into special categories as below.

Ethical committee approval is required for the following scenarios
  • If there are patients involved in the study
  • Anonymous retrospective data collection – unless local committee authorizes otherwise
  • Audit study – unless local committee authorizes otherwise
Ethical committee approval is not required for the following scenarios
  • Questionnaire survey of medical personnel
  • Case studies – with patient consent
  • Literature reviews
  • Historical research
  • Research performed on artificial model
  • Evaluation performed during pre-operative session – with receipt of informed consent.

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT FORMAT FOR PODIUM/ E-POSTER PRESENTATION

  • Word Limit: The abstracts should be within 250 words.
  • Language: Abstract must be typed and presented in English.
  • Font Type: Should be prepared in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman Font, 12 point with single line spacing, with the title in boldface.
  • Content: The submitted abstracts must contain the following:
    • Objectives: State the main objective of the study.
    • Materials and Methods: Briefly describe the study design and how it was conducted.
    • Results: Present the main results with appropriate statistics.
    • Conclusion: Limit the conclusions to those that are directly supported by the results.
    • References : 3-5, most relevant.
  • Standard abbreviations may be used without definition.
  • It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE SUBMISSION OF THE ABSTRACT

  1. Abstracts must be original and must not have been published or presented in any other meeting.
  2. Abstract should be submitted through online mode only.
  3. Abstract content should be in English and should not exceed 250 words/1500 characters. This excludes Author and Co-Author names, Affiliations, Titles and References.
  4. Abstract uploaded only in MS Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  5. No correspondence will be entertained unless asked by the Scientific Committee.
  6. Give your choice for presentation (E-Poster/Podium presentations).
  7. The abstract submitted will go through a peer review process by the Abstract Review Committee. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to make the final decision regarding the acceptance of any paper and also their mode of presentation.
  8. The presenting author’s name must be highlighted and the presenting author’s full name, institution, conference registration number, phone number and email address are mandatory while abstract submission as all further communications will be done via email.
  9. The presenting Author is solely responsible to inform the other Co-Authors about the status of the abstract.
  10. Abstracts stating “data will be discussed in the presentation” will not be accepted.
  11. If your abstract is selected for the presentation during the Conference, you will be informed by e-mail. Further details will be updated by e-mail on selection.
  12. Please be advised that you will be requested to confirm the following information when you submit your abstract: “I confirm that I preview the abstract and that all information is correct. I accept that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and I am aware that it will be presented exactly as submitted. Submission of the abstract constitutes my consent to publication (eg. Conference website, programs, other promotions, etc.). The abstract submitter warrants and represents that he/she is the sole owner or has the rights to all information and content provided to KARPEDICON23. The abstract submitter grants the Organizers a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute and display the content. The Organizers reserve the right to remove from any publication of abstract, which does not comply with the above. I herewith confirm that the contact details provided are those of the corresponding author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract.”
